The Ecolite IPL hair removal system produces a high intensity flash of filtered light from the applicator head, which has been placed in contact with the skin. The energy from the light source is absorbed by the pigment melanin in the hair follicle, which is the chromophore that gives hair its color. The hair follicles rapidly absorb this filtered flash of light which is converted into heat raising them to a temperature of 70 degrees centigrade or more with no injury to surrounding tissue. The heating destroys or denatures the cells making them incapable of producing further hair growth.

For large areas we have the 1x5cm applicator size & for hard to reach areas there is the 1x1cm applicator size.  The basic Unit has one hand piece, Epilation and Skin Rejuvenation, 590nm (number 3 on the chart))

Epilation / Rejuvenation --Our best selling head offering excellent epilation as well as the flexibility of Photorejuvenation. While removing unwanted hair, the same blend of light treats high contrast blemishes resulting in even skin coloration often with immediate results..

4) Skin Rejuvenation: 570nm 1x5cm/1x1cm
This blend of light is specifically tailored for maximum end point results treating high contrast blemishes resulting in even skin coloration. A mild thermal injury to the dermis (much like a sunburn) is created during this treatment, which produces by means of the healing process, new collagen growth resulting in smoother, fuller skin complexion and diminished, fine line wrinkle dynamics. The filtered light produces the dual benefit of skin cell reproduction, leaving the skin looking fresher and younger. This treatment is also a great follow-up to Acne treatments

5) Pigmentation: 510nm 1x5cm/1x1cm
Brown-based Sunspots/Pigmentation/Age Spots/Birthmarks The specifically selected light targets the pigmentation, and gently and safely encourages the break up of the locked pigment while increasing circulation and skin cell repair in the area.

6) Vascular: 550nm 1x5/1x1cm
Red-based Thread Veins/Spider Veins/ Broken Capillaries By delivering heat to the specific problem areas within the skin, the blood vessels coagulate stopping the blood flow in those areas. Gradually and effectively the coagulated blood naturally dissipates into the body's lymphatic system leaving the client with fresh clean skin.

7) Acne: 400nm 1x5cm/1x1cm
Active Acne treatments: The violet light specifically targets the bacteria and instantly sterilizes it by means of natural PDT (Photo-dynamic Therapy). The light is also absorbed by the blood below the skin and stops blood flow to those areas that appear red and irritated.
